FOUNDER & MASTERMIND GUIDE
Dr. Chris Wedding is a former private equity investor, startup founder, professor, investment banker, and teacher with $1B+ in investment experience and 30,000 students taught over the last 20 years.
Long ago, Dr. Wedding received a BS summa cum laude in Environmental Science from Western Kentucky University (WKU), where he was a national Goldwater Scholar in Math and Science and the WKU Honors Scholar of the Year. At UNC, he earned an MS and PhD focused on business and strategy in real estate and energy.
He also brings an international perspective to his work with experience in 22 countries and proficiency in 3 other languages: Japanese, Spanish, and Creole (in which he aspires to fully understand his mother-in-law).
He has also made and seen too many mistakes to count. Through Entrepreneurs for Impact, his hope is to share those lessons learned, and ideally a cold beer or two, with fellow entrepreneurs and investors that are fighting the good fight.
IronOak Energy Capital provides investment banking (e.g., raising capital, M&A) and advisory services (e.g., investment due diligence, business strategy consulting) with 100% focus on energy and the environment. We are not typical investment bankers. Instead, we bring PhD rigor, private equity and angel investment expertise, and a focus on the mission of the companies we support. IronOak provides thought leadership via blogs, newsletters, and speaking at national and international conferences. Dr. Wedding is the Founder.
